When Steve Haderlein took over the La Salle girls golf program, he knew it was going to take patience.
And Haderlein had been patient, but also seen the Lancers get better over time.
Mayfield, though, had a better Thursday, defeated the Lancers, 275-290.
Ashley Mayo, Ahtziri Rio-Aguirre, Collette Allen and Josephine Lo all shot 55 for La Salle.
Gracie Turner had a 66 and Lindsey Martinez shot a 69.
