It’s been a rough start to the 2017 girls golf season for La Salle.
The Lancers haven’t found their stroke just yet.
Well, that is except for Makenna Hicks.
How good was Hicks on Monday?
Her team-low 44 was 13 strokes better than her next closest teammate.
But Bishop Amat did their best to spoil her day in a battle of Lancers.
Amat defeated La Salle, 267-283, on Monday, in a Del Rey League opener for both schools.
Sarah Day finished with a 57, Collette Allen shot a 58, Ahtziri Rios-Aguirre a 61 and Ashley Mayo was fifth for the Lancers with a 62.
Quotable:
La Salle coach Steve Haderlein: “We continue to score in the 275 to 285 range. An improvement over a year ago, but not where we need to be to compete with Amat.”
