If Thursday’s Olympic League opener for Maranatha was any indication, the race to the title is going to be extremely competitive and exciting.
Whittier Christian earned a 21-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-15 and 19-17 victory over the visiting Minutemen.
Tiffany Godley led the way with 17 kills and 32 digs.
Ariana Winter added 4 kills and 6 blocks, and Bella Medina had 14 assists.
Maranatha will travel to Westridge tonight (Friday) at 5 in a battle with the undefeated Tigers.
