Mayfield couldn’t have been more balanced in their 12-6 Prep League victory over Flintridge Prep.
The Cubs got six wins from their singles players and doubles teams.
Lauren Panajotovic went 3-0 as always.
But for the first time in a long time, someone challenged arguably the area’s best singles player.
Prep’s Crystal Juan fell in her set against Panajotovic, but it took 12 games for the Mayfield star to dispatch of Juan.
Panajotovic almost always beats her opponents by scores of 6-0 if or at the very least, 6-1.
She won her other two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.
Carly Hall won 2 of her three matches for Mayfield, but Juan beat her 6-0.
Alexia and Ariana Saigh went 3-0 in doubles matches for Mayfield, as did Ashlinn and Elise Kingston.
