Accomplishment(s): Washington and Armstead are the Golden Knights’ 1-2 punch when it comes to the St. Francis rushing attack. In Friday’s win at Saugus, and after a slow start, Armstead was credited with turning the momentum when he picked off a pass on the last play of the first half, and the sophomore brought it back 60 yards for the Pick-6. Armstead went on to pick off another pass as well. Washington finally got to touch the ball 18 times and gained north of 100 yards for the first time all season. The senior captain also scored two more touchdowns in the St. Francis 49-20 victory. Washington now has 6 rushing TD’s and Armstead has 4 for the area’s last undefeated team.
