As much as Muir versus Pasadena is an intense endeavor in most sports, the Bulldogs’ domination over the Mustangs makes it hard to call it a rivalry in girls volleyball.

Since 2014 alone, Pasadena is 8-0 in matches and 24-0 in games, as Muir has failed to even win a game in those eight match ups.

Tuesday was no different.

PHS earned a 25-10, 25-7 and 25-4 victory in the Pacific League finale for Pasadena, and a season-ending loss for Muir.

Senior setter Sophie Lindsay finished with 13 assists and 5 kills

Senior middle hitter Taurie Magee had 6 kills and 7 aces

Junior outside hitter Divine Johnson chipped in with 8 kills

Senior Libero Lauryn Jame added had 7 aces

And sophomore setter Jesse Demuth finished 5 assists and 6 aces.

PHS will find out their playoff pairing Thursday at 3 when CIF releases the brackets.
