Jada O’Mally helped the Lancers to their 13th win at LA Trade Tech on Wednesday.
The Pasadena City College women’s volleyball team won its second match in as many nights Wednesday, following its 4-set win over Riverside with a sweep at LA Trade Tech College, 25-9, 25-17, 25-12, in a South Coast Conference crossover match. PCC head coach Mike Terrill played all 17 active players on his roster as reserves were able to get ample court time.
The Lancers (13-9) were paced by Jada O’Mally, who scored four kills, four aces, and made six digs. Izzy Hernandez added five kills and two aces while Pamela Galvan twirled four aces and made five digs. PCC landed 14 aces overall by seven different players. Regular starters Kendall Schmedes (five kills) and Lania Potter (four kills) also were part of the hitting circle.
PCC used all three of its setters as starter Emily Leung (seven assists in first set), Tehya Topalian (eight assists) and Heather Collado (seven assists) each distributed the ball successfully.
From Nov. 1-10, the first-place Lancers (undefeated at 4-0) embark on the second round of SCC North Division play. The final regular season string of matches begin Wednesday, Nov. 1 at Rio Hondo College at 6 p.m.
