Eduardo Urbina was PCC’s lone racer at the CCCAA State Championships on Saturday.
The Pasadena City College men’s cross country season officially came to a close for 2017 with sophomore Eduardo Urbina placing 101st at the CCCAA State Championships Saturday at Fresno’s Woodward Park. Urbina was the only PCC qualifier as an individual.
The letterman raced the 4-mile course in 22 minutes, 13.2 seconds, and while he finished higher than his 2016 state race (111th), he was slightly behind the time then of 22:06. The field consisted of 175 of the state’s best runners and teams. Urbina was the Lancers top runner in all six of the races he participated in. He was 27th among South Coast Conference runners at state, won by SCC racer Manny Fernandez and his Mt. San Antonio College squad.
PCC men’s cross country is directed by head coach Innocent Egbunike.
