School: St. Francis High School
Grade: Junior
Sport: Football
Position: Quarterback
Accomplishment(s): Perrantes had his most efficient game of the season, and what a time to find your peak. The junior quarterback was 21 of 24 for 300 yards, he threw for five touchdowns and ran for two more in St. Francis’ 52-17 victory over visiting El Toro in the semifinals of the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs. Perrantes had TD passes of 58, 21, 12, 6 and 42 yards. His rushing TD’s were of the 7 and 1 yard variety. St. Francis earned its first 12-win season in at least 20 years, and their first CIF championship game appearance since 1964. The Golden Knights will host Rancho Verde with the title on the line, Friday at 7, and if Perrantes plays anywhere near the way he did vs El Toro, St. Francis is going to win its first championship in Coach Jim Bonds’ 18 years of leading the Golden Knights.
