Despite losing three consecutive games in the Burroughs Tournament after winning their first six games of the season, it’s a schedule like they’ve faced this week that will help the Lancers prepare for not only a league, but also a CIF-SS playoff run.
La Salle already has a San Marino Tournament title to their name, and a season-opening victory over Flintridge Prep.
The last week, though, hasn’t been all La Salle had been hoping it would be.
The Lancers opened Burroughs Tournament play on Monday and have losses to Alemany and Hart.
On Wednesday, La Salle dropped its third game in a row, when they fell to Moorpark, 62-53 at Glendale College.
Julia Macabuhay did everything she could to give the Lancers a shot to break up their two-game slide.
Macabuhay scored a game-high 30 points, and pitched in 5 assists, 5 steals and 4 rebounds.
Alyssa Arroyo added 10 points for the Lancers.
Serina Sims led Moorpark with 25 points and Rebecca Penner had 12 points for the Musketeers.
La Salle will face Maranatha on Friday at 9 at Glendale College.
