The fact that La Salle is 2-2 in the Duarte Tournament is a testament to the kids who stuck it out over the Christmas break.
Yesterday (Thursday), La Salle won two tournament games over Alhambra and Maranatha by shutout.
On Friday, the Lancers fell flat.
In game one, it was Montclair 5, La Salle 1.
And in the second, Bishop Amat defeated the Lancers 3-1.
But what everyone is missing is that six or so of the La Salle players went on Christmas or family vacations and the strain it left on the remaining Lancers’ players finally caught up to them on Friday.
Some mentioned that it was ‘frustrating’ to say the least, but they did all they could without their full team in action.
