The senior and reigning Pasadena Sports Now Girls Basketball Player of the Year is the area’s most prolific scorer in the first few weeks of the 2017-18 basketball season.

Her season average of 30 points per game leads all players, and regardless of gender.

In the Glendora Tournament finale on Saturday, Macabuhay had a season-high (and for any Pasadena player) 45 points.

La Salle, though, lost their fourth in five games in Glendora.

Sierra Pacific earned an 82-63 victory behind 16 points from Haley Bettencourt and 15 more from Celeste Lewis.

La Salle defeated Yucaipa, but dropped games to Pasadena, Yucaipa, West Covina and Sierra Pacific.

The Lancers lone victory was over Covina on Thursday morning.

Alyssa Arroyo chipped in with 12 for La Salle.

The Lancers play next Thursday when they travel to Flintridge Sacred Heart at 6.
