Name: Darius Mason
School: Pasadena High School
Grade: Junior
Sport: Basketball
Position: Forward
Accomplishment(s): Mason listened to everyone talk (including us) about how he wasn’t putting up the numbers he did a season ago. PHS added two key additions of Tavian Percy and Omari Moore to the already stacked roster of Bryce Hamilton and Darius Brown II, and there is only one basketball. So, after all of that said, Mason has played his best two games of the season in back-to-back contests, and even more importantly, in Pacific League battles. Mason scored 14 points on Wednesday at Crescenta Valley, as well as grabbing 9 rebounds and 6 assists. On Friday, Mason scored 6 points, had 7 assists and 10 rebounds in a 68-51 victory over Arcadia.
