Mayfield was able to wear down Brentwood on Monday afternoon.
The Cubs took a four-point edge and the break and they shut the Eagles out the rest of the way.
Mayfield headed back to Pasadena with a 13-2 Prep League win and improved to 2-1 in league play.
Julia Watson had a game-high 5 saves in goal for the Cubs.
Kathryn McCullough and Madeline Lewis had 3 goals each for Mayfield.
Lucy Howell and Abby Gagnier added two goals each.
Chloe Kessel, Carmen Mascarenhas and Holly Helmuth-Malone each scored once for the Cubs.
Mayfield will travel to Westridge on Wednesday at 3:30 as Prep League play continues for the Cubs.
