St. Francis had a pretty frustrating last five days heading into Saturday night’s nonleague battle with visiting Sylmar.

The Golden Knights had dropped a pair of Mission League games to Loyola and Chaminade on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.

The reason for the frustration wasn’t as much they were two home or league games, it was more so that they came by a combined total of 5 points.

On Saturday, though, St. Francis took out their angst on Sylmar, 70-30, behind a group effort offensively.

Javon Jones had a game-high 17 points, including three 3-point buckets for the Golden Knights.

Dennis Flowers III added 15.

Ricky Jaime led Sylmar (11-13) with 8 points and Aaron Reyes finished with 6.

Kevin House chipped in 9 points, and Steven Hodges and Andre Henry contributed 8 points apiece.
