Either St. Genevieve or La Salle was going to get the third and final (automatic) CIF-SS playoff berth from the Camino Real League.
Neither the Valiants or Lancers were going to catch second-place Bishop Amat and no one will reach undefeated St. Anthony.
But once you’re in the playoffs, everyone is 0-0, and that’s the situation La Salle has found itself in.
The Lancers handled visiting St. Genevieve on Monday, 53-43, and they clinch third place with the season sweep of the Valiants.
Jason McDonald led all scorers with 18 points.
Darius Henderson added 14 points and Kenneth Franklin 11 for the Lancers.
La Salle will host first-place St. Anthony on Wednesday at 7 and then wait for their CIF-SS pairing over the weekend.
