Two great rivals faced off twice in the last 72 hours.
Prep held off Poly, 37-35, on Saturday night in their gym to earn at least a share of the Prep League championship.
Not to be outdone, Poly held serve at home Tuesday night, 45-38, and the Panthers earned their part of the Prep League championship as well.
The Panthers were led by Nick Richard-Craven’s 15 points and Brandon Szeto had 13 for Poly.
Poly took a 35-23 lead into the fourth period, and despite a 15-10 surge by the Rebels, the Panthers had more than enough to hold off their rival and improved to 19-3 on the season.
Jonathan Le le Prep with 11 points and John Au finished with 9 points.
Mateo Taylor had 7 points for Poly and Zach Kim had 7 for Prep.
