Sarah Johnson wanted to make sure Poly had a game this week.
The senior guard kept her prep career alive with 29 points on Thursday night.
The Panthers edged visiting Moreno Valley, 52-48, in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 4A playoffs.
Moreno Valley outscored Poly, 31-21, in the second half to make it interesting.
Alexis Pappachan finished with 10 points and Kylie Kishi added 6 points.
Poly will face off with Notre Dame of Riverside (20-9) on Saturday night at 7.
The Titans defeated Kaiser, 63-34, Thursday in their first round game.
