Accomplishment(s): Domingo and Romo did their parts in leading Mayfield to victories over Western Christian, The Webb Schools and Providence this week by a combined margin of 46-6. Domingo earned shut out/mercy-rule victories in her two outings this week. She went 11 combined innings in the circle, allowing 5 total hits, walking 2 and she struck out 16. Offensively, Domingo went 4 for 5 in the final two games of the week. Romo got the victory in the circle over Providence, but did most of her damage with her bat. At Webb, Romo went 3 for 3 (all doubles), and drove in 5 runs. She followed that with 2 more hits and 6 more RBIs. The highlight of her week, though, was Romo’s first career home run, which helped the Cubs improve to 5-2 on the season.
