It’s early, but after the first week of Pacific League play, Muir holds a share of first place.
The Mustangs swept Hoover this week, including Friday’s 3-0 victory over the Tornadoes.
Brian Love went the distance and shut own Hoover on two hits.
Love didn’t walk a batter and struck out seven to earn the victory on the mound.
He mowed down the Tornadoes on just 68 pitches.
Angel Lopez went 1 for 3 with a run scored and he drove in another.
Emiliano Martinez had one hit and scored once.
David Solis went 1 for 3 an scored a run.
Muir will face its biggest test of the season on Monday when they travel to undefeated Arcadia (10-0) at 3:30.
