It only took five innings for Mayfield to earn their second Prep League victory in as many tries.
The Cubs cruised to a 15-5 victory at Flintridge Prep.
Taylin Yankovich went 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles.
She scored three times, stole two bases and drove in five runs.
Julia Watson added two hits (both doubles), scored twice and had an RBI.
Jaylin Domingo got the win in the circle, and helped her cause by going 2 for 3 with three RBIs and one run scored.
Madeline Montes went 2 for 2 for the Rebels, and she scored a run.
Prep’s Melissa Grande added two hits and two RBIs, and Emma Stellar went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored.
Mayfield will host Firebaugh today (Tuesday) at 3:30 in another Prep League contest.
Prep will host Chadwick on Wednesday at 3:30.
