In one of the area’s best rivalries, Flintridge Prep picked up a three-game sweep of Poly on Tuesday.
But to be fair, the Rebels are up and the Panthers are in a rebuilding mode.
Prep, though, still enjoyed the 25-14, 25-19 and 25-18 victory to improve to 4-0 and remain atop the Prep League standings.
AJ Nicassio had a match-high 20 kills as well as seven digs for the Rebels.
Majeed Ismail finished with 9 kills and Nathan Powell added 8 kills for Prep, and Tim Treinen had a match-best 40 assists.
Nicolas Richard-Craven had four kills and two aces for Poly.
Senior setter Jonathan Thein added 12 assists for the Panthers.
Prep will continue league play when they travel to Chadwick on Thursday afternoon.
Poly will host Firebaugh on Thursday in another Prep League match.
Records: Poly (5-10, 0-4); Flintridge Prep (14-1, 4-0)
