Poly won its eleventh consecutive game on Tuesday.
Matt Loomis went the distance in a five-inning, mercy-rule victory over Rio Hondo Prep.
The Panthers pounded out 12 hits and defeated the Kares, 11-0.
The victory extends Poly’s lead in the Prep League to two games over this same Rio Hondo Prep team.
Loomis allowed just two hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out five to earn the victory.
Franco Alonso remains on fire, as the junior went 3 for 4 with three runs scored from the leadoff spot.
David Matthias had two hits, including the double, he scored three times and drove in a pair of runs.
Sean McTigue also had two hits and three RBIs.
Ty Evans doubled and had two RBIs.
Poly has one more with Rio Hondo Prep this Friday at 3:45.
