From STAFF REPORTS

It doesn’t seem fair that a pitcher gets saddled with a loss when they go five innings in a Mission League road game and allow just one earned run.

But such was the case for St. Francis senior Aaron Treloar.

The 6-foot-3 right hander went the first five innings at Chaminade and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits. He did walk four and struck out two batters.

Chaminade got single runs in the third and fourth innings and held off the Golden Knights 2-1.

Tyler Quintero pitched two scoreless innings for St. Francis.

Doyle Kane had two hits and Christian Muro doubled for the Golden Knights.

Freshman Jack Duncan’s sixth-inning single scored Will Schmidt for the lone SF run of the game.

Chaminade’s Cole Reibenspies went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

The two programs will finish their three-game series this week on Friday at Chaminade at 3:30.
