Accomplishment(s): Bronk got off to a slow start to her junior year, but she’s bounced back with a flurry. In Thursday’s 12-0 Prep League victory over Westridge, she threw a five-inning no hitter. She didn’t walk a batter and struck out six Tigers’ batters. But that was just the start of her historic afternoon. Bronk went 2 for 3 at the plate, including a grand slam, double and drove in six runs. She also scored two runs, and thanks to Wednesday’s seventh-inning rally over first place Mayfield, Poly finds itself just one-half game behind the Cubs. The two frontrunners meet on Thursday at Mayfield.
