Less than one week after the Mayfield doubles’ teams stole the limelight in a two-point victory over Westridge, the Cubs singles players took over a match.
Lauren Panajotovic, Sofia Mireles and Sammi Kennedy, the No 1 through No. 3 singles players, respectively, won 8 of 9 matches Tuesday afternoon.
Lily Brogdon was 1-1 filling in for Kennedy after Kennedy won her first match.
Mayfield cruised past FSHA, 15-3, in a nonleague match.
Panajotovic and Mireles won all three of their matches.
Alexia Saigh and Rebecca Leiva, who make up the Cubs No. 2 doubles team, won all three matches Tuesday, while the Kingston sisters, Elise and Ashlinn, went 2-1 in the Cubs team victory.
