Flintridge Prep got a shot in the arm thanks to their play on Saturday at the Gabrielino Tournament.
The Rebels went 3-1 and had victories over Pomona Catholic, Arrowhead Christian and Gabrielino before dropping its final match against Saugus.
In the victory over Pomona Catholic, Prep won by scores of 25-19 and 25-16.
They earned the W over Arrowhead Christian (25-9, 25-16) and Prep claimed a 20-25, 27-25 and 15-10 conquest over the hosts from Gabrielino.
The Rebels travel to second-place Mayfield on Tuesday, then host Rio Hondo Prep on Wednesday, and they’ll host their rivals from Poly on Friday at 5:30.
All three matches are Prep League contests.
Poly heads into their final three regular-season matches of 2018 with a one-game lead over Mayfield atop the Prep League standings.
