While being 0-6 is never fun, Maranatha has never backed down.
And Thursday’s Olympic League tilt with Heritage Christian was no different.
The Lady Minutemen took the Warriors to the brink, but to their credit, Heritage Christian outlasted Maranatha in 5 games.
The scores in victory for Heritage Christian were 21-25, 25-23, 25-19, 8-25 and 15-12.
Joelle Battles led the way with 27 kills, 3 blocks and a pair of aces.
Sophie Berry added 35 assists and 2 blocks.
And Kamryn Asaoka had 32 digs and 3 aces.
Maranatha will close out their 2018 schedule next week.
On Tuesday, the Minutemen will host Whittier Christian, and two days later, they will travel to Cerritos to face off with Valley Christian on Thursday.
Both matches are at 6:15 and they are Olympic League contests.
