Sophomore Krystin Brown (Lake Forest, Calif. / Trabuco Hills) became the first member of the Caltech women’s soccer team to earn postseason recognition from the SCIAC, earning second-team all-conference honors on Tuesday.
Brown tied for the team lead with four points during the regular season stemming from one goal and two assists. The goal came against Oberlin College in the 57th minute of the Beavers’ first game of the season and ultimately proved to be the game-winner, earning the program its first NCAA win. The midfielder also featured in every game for the Beavers this season and has not missed a game dating back to her freshman year.
Brown and the Beavers will now begin preparation for their third season of existence in 2019 where they will be looking for their first SCIAC win.
