The Rebels get back on the field after dropping 78 points on Hillcrest Christian.
Coach Russell White is still looking for that offensive balance with quarterback John Lytle, who threw 5 TD passes a week ago, and running backs Danny Chiarodit, Nate Gi and Kendall Kikkawa.
Kikkawa rushed for over 100 yards last week in limited carries.
Bell-Jeff suits up just 12 players, so Prep will have the advantage in depth and has an offense that is averaging just under 70 points per game.
“It’s still early for us. We’ve only played two games,” Prep coach Russell White said. “We might have had some lopsided victories, but we watched film and had a lot of things to clean up as we go forward.
White, a former All-American at UC Berkeley and NFL running back for the Rams, has the Rebels looking as good as anyone in 8-man football.
“We had some things we didn’t have to do and we cleaned up a lot of things,” he said. (Quarterback John Lytle) has only played two games at the varsity level and will continue to get better.”
