Daren Myers’ 21-yard TD run gave Muir (2-3, 0-2) a 6-0 lead, that was set up when defensive back Elijah Blades picked off Arcadia quarterback Max Davila.
But what the Mustangs took, the Mustangs also gave away. as they fumbled a punt return and Arcadia’s Rolandiss Whitener recovered the ball for a TD to give the Apaches a 7-6 lead.
Jonathan Stephens 2-yard TD run gave Muir the lead in the second half.
But it was Jahlique Stephens that was the game-changer, scoring on runs of 12 and 11 yards, respectively, to give the Apaches the cushion it needed and held on to.
