Maranatha (2-4-1, 0-2) is struggling this year and it’s schedule doesn’t get any easier.
The Minutemen host Heritage Christian on Friday and Valley Christian in two weeks, both of which are tied for first place in the Olympic League.
Heritage Christian (5-2, 1-0) averages over 300 yards on the ground per game, which is something Maranatha has struggled with all season.
The Warriors have four different players with at least four rushing touchdowns.
Luke Ramos (136 yards per game, 9 TDs), Brandon Sanchez (708 yards rushing, 6 TDs), Garrett Clark (394 yards rushing, 5 TDs) and Jason Parraz (213 rushing yards, 4 TDs) will all be a focus of coach Steve Bogan’s defense.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart has scored 26 of its 28 TDs on the ground this season.
There is no secret as to what is key for a Maranatha win.
Quarterback Kwon Peterson’s arm and legs will play the largest factor in whether the Minutemen can hang with the Warriors and their lethal running game.

Heritage Christian (5-2, 1-0)
