You won’t see the Lancers celebrating a Del Rey League championship.
It’s not that they’re not happy or grateful.
It’s that the Lancers (19-10 overall, 7-0 in league) has the talent to make a run at a CIF-SS Division 3 championship.
And while winning league is always a great accomplishment, elite programs measure their seasons on how well they do in the CIF playoffs.
La Salle is one step closer to beginning that chase after sweeping St. Paul, 25-19, 25-13 and 25-18 on Thursday in Santa Fe Springs.
Ravin Rhodes had 2 blocks, Sofia Sanchez added 7 kills and a block and Vanessa Ramirez had 13 assists.
The Lancers host second-place Bishop Montgomery on Monday to end the regular season.
Currently, La Salle is ranked No. 3 in the CIF-SS Division 3 polls behind Sage Hill and Glendora, respectively.
Del Rey League Standings:
La Salle (19-10 overall, 7-0 in league)
Bishop Montgomery (21-9, 3-2)
Saint Joseph (15-15, 4-3)
St. Paul (24-9, 2-5)
