What more could a Pasadena area girls volleyball fan ask for?

With 72 hours left in the regular season, there are four teams within one-half game of each other, and the Prep League title hanging in the balance.

Mayfield continued to add to that drama, and the Cubs keep showing on the court that they can hang with anyone.

Mayfield swept the Panthers, 25-18, 25-19, and 25-12 on Saturday and sets up the possibility of a very dramatic end to this memorable league chase.

Hayley Eaves led Mayfield with 12 kills, Annie Evans added 6 kills and Charlotte Pizante had 5 kills.

“The girls have made a commitment to achieve a goal that they themselves have set,” Mayfield coach Stephen Bernabe said. “Today we shared the ball with everyone and everyone contributed to help make senior night special for our only senior Andrea Raymundo. It was a joy to watch the passion we are playing with now.”
