Flintridge Sacred Heart senior Kayla Lund was named an all-American.
That alone would be an honor for most high school athletes.
But to make the prestigious list by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) four times is almost unheard of.
Lund isn’t done making history, and before she goes to play volleyball at the Univ. of Pittsburgh, there is work still left to do.
The Tologs host Lakewood (29-4) tonight (Thursday) at 7 in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
FSHA (24-9) swept San Marcos, and the Moore League champs knocked off Tesoro in four games.
“We are beyond proud of what Kayla has accomplished on and off the court,” a statement from the FSHA volleyball program read. “She is an amazing player, but an even better person. Before we give her to Pitt, we want to continue our playoff run.”
