The loss didn’t count against their record, but as competitors, the Panthers didn’t like the taste of that setback.
Fast forward to three days after Christmas, and Poly (9-1) is back in the win column.
The Panthers defeated Marin Academy, 68-46, in the first round of the Tom Welsh Holiday Classic in Oakland.
Brendan Fong led the way with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
Jackson Hayes added 12 points, 2 rebounds and an assist, and John Genske chipped in with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
Poly will be back on the court today (Thursday) night at 7:30 with an opponent to be announced.
