Pasadena showed Wednesday night how badly they want to hold on to sole possession of first place in the Pacific League.

The Bulldogs defense stepped up big and kept Burbank from scoring in the game’s final 20 seconds.

Pasadena held on to a 64-60 victory in Prep League play and stand alone atop the league standings at 4-0, which is one-half game ahead of crosstown rival Muir.

Bryce Hamilton led the way with 27 points and 6 rebounds.

Darius Mason was also huge with 22 points and 4 blocked shots.

Darius Brown provided 8 points and 8 assists.

The Bulldogs host last-place Hoover (6-9, 0-3) on Friday night.

Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
