Poly knows it can’t afford a slip up if they want to win the Prep League title.
The Panthers (11-2 overall, 4-1 in league) went into Friday afternoon’s league match up at Mayfield with just one loss, but also that Chadwick and Flintridge Prep are still perfect.
Thanks to a combined 23 points from Sarah Johnson and Kristin Toyota, the Panthers kept pace with its 34-26 victory Friday.
Johnson had 12 points and 7 steals.
Toyota added 11 points.
Juliana Lai chipped in with 8 points, while Jennifer Lu had 2 and Alexis Pappachan score 1 point.
Flintridge Prep and Chadwick are facing off Friday night, so before the night is over, Poly will essentially be tied in second place.
Poly won’t play again until next Saturday when they host struggling Firebaugh at 2:30.
