Chris Austin hit a 3-point basket with less than a minute to play to give Maranatha a 2-point lead.
The Minutemen were able to hold off Heritage Christian over the final minute and a 63-58 victory Tuesday night.
Austin led Maranatha (8-7 overall, 2-0 in league) with 23 points and 6 rebounds.
Sean Espinosa added 17 points and 4 assists, and Terrance Lang had 14 points and 9 rebounds.
Maranatha gets a huge home game Friday when they host Valley Christian (12-8, 2-1), who sits just one-half game behind the Minutemen in the Olympic League.
