La Salle got done what it needed to Wednesday night when it defeated last-place St. Genevieve, 64-48, to remain tied for first place in the Camino Real League standings with Bishop Amat.
But the real drama begins now.
The Lancers (12-7 overall, 3-0 in league) now host both second-place St. Anthony (14-5, 2-1) on Friday at 7, and next Wednesday, the Lancers get Bishop Amat (16-3, 3-0) at 7.
The next 7 days will go a long way in deciding not only the Camino Real League title, but the playoff seeding from this league.
But as for Wednesday, Darius Henderson led La Salle with 20 points in their 16-point win.
Jaice Gardner had 14 points and AJ Akobian chipped in with 11 points.
