From Staff Reports

It was just another night in the Santa Fe League marathon that saw similar results for the La Salle girls basketball program.

La Salle blew out another opponent.

Another constant is that Julia Macabuhay had another huge effort, and again did so in limited minutes, because the Lancers got so far ahead that there was no reason to have their star guard in the game.

Macabuhay scored 26 points in Thursday night’s 70-42 victory over Mary Star of the Sea in another Santa Fe League showdown.

The win allowed La Salle (15-6 overall, 4-0 in league) to keep pace with Bellarmine-Jefferson (15-3, 4-0) in the league penthouse.

Aside from Macabuhay, six Lancers had at least 5 points on Thursday.

Nicole Ortiz chipped in with 8 points, and Alyssa Arroyo, Jennifer Payne and Skylar Uzeta had 6 points apiece.

Katie Perez had a bucket to round out the Lancers offensive output on Thursday.

Angela Pisano led Mary Star of the Sea with 18 points.
