Poly bounced back from its first Prep League loss last Friday with an important win on Tuesday.
The Panthers defeated Firebaugh, 52-48, to clinch at least a share of the Prep League championship.
John Genske led the way with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Ryan Bowen had 10 points and 2 boards.
Jackson Hayes added 9 points, 6 assists and a rebound.
Mateo Taylor finished with 8 points, 9 rebounds and an assist.
With a win Thursday over visiting Chadwick, the Panthers would earn the outright title and head into the playoffs as the Prep League’s No. 1 seed.
If the Dolphins pulled off an upset, Flintridge Prep would earn the top spot.
