Mayfield hadn’t defeated Poly in 15 years heading into the 2016-17 season.
In the last 12 days, Mayfield has beaten the Panthers twice now, including Tuesday’s 2-0 victory in a Prep League contest.
Lauren LoCoCo and Nadia O’Reilly scored single goals for the Cubs.
Izzy Taglioretti had 5 saves in goal for Mayfield.
The Cubs will finish off the regular season with a Wednesday night game at Firebaugh.
The game will is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
