The Poly boys and girls basketball teams had a few things in common on Saturday evening.
They played second round CIF-SS playoff games on the road, they both won, and they both dominated their opponents in the second half.
The Poly girls used a 30-14 second-half advantage to pull past Buckley of Sherman Oaks, 46-40, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the CIF-SS Division 5-AA playoff quarterfinals.
The Panthers will travel to Pilibos on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Sarah Johnson led the way with 13 points and Alexis Pappachan had 10.
Celine Farhadi and Alyssa Furukawa had 14 points apiece for Buckley.
