St. Francis remains winless after Saturday’s 7-6 loss at West Covina in the Frozen Ropes Tournament.

It took the Bulldogs 9 innings to put the Golden Knights away.

Despite the slow 0-6 start, St. Francis has lost four games by a total of 8 runs.

Evan Tonini went four innings and left with a 5-2 lead in the fifth inning.

But the Bulldogs rallied for one run in each the fifth, sixth and seventh innings and then West Covina scored two in the bottom of the ninth for the win.

Christian Muro had a game-high 3 hits, he walked twice and scored two runs.

Jacob Bechtold executed two hit-and-run situations.

Niko Khoury had a ninth-inning double for St. Francis.

The Golden Knights will take on Damien (2-3) next Friday at Arcadia Park at 6 p,m.
