Jesse Elrod, just one week after coming off the basketball court had his first big stat day for Maranatha.
Unfortunately for the 6-foot-7 senior, the Minutemen came up short at Upland on Friday afternoon.
The Highlanders defeated Maranatha, 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.
Elrod finished with 15 kills, 9 digs, 3 blocks and 2 aces.
Max Zietsman added 5 kills, 8 digs and an ace.
Maranatha fell to 0-3 on the season.
The Minutemen will travel to Gabrielino on Tuesday at 3:30 in the hopes of getting their first victory of the year.
