La Salle is off to a rough start, but the Lancers showed fire and heart in Tuesday’s league opener.
St. Genevieve, though, outlasted La Salle, 25-21, 18-25, 25-23, 13-25, 15-12 in their Camino Real League opener.
Will Dalgarn had a huge night with 19 kills and 17 digs.
Philip Ibarra added 23 digs and 8 kills.
Tyrese Lee contributed with 5 kills and 4 blocks and CJ Retting had 8 kills and 23 digs.
La Salle (1-8, 0-1) will travel to Mary Star of the Sea on Thursday at 6.
