The Maranatha Boys Tennis team scored another away league match win, trouncing Whittier Christian, 17-1, at La Mirada Tennis Center.
The doubles teams swept all nine sets in convincing fashion. The newly formed #3 doubles team of Jake Scott and Tony Gao won their sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-0 to earn their first three wins as a team. Billy Sun notched two wins at #3 singles for his first singles wins of the season.
With the win, the Minutemen extended their Olympic league match win streak to 37 in a row. On the season, their record moves to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in league play.
Maranatha now looks ahead to next week, where they will face Tarbut v. Torah twice, on Monday and Thursday. The winner of those matches should have a leg up on who will be the Olympic League champs.
