Flintridge Prep was missing two starters in Friday’s Prep League showdown at Rio Hondo Prep.
The Rebels didn’t blink, though, and defeated the Kares, 25-21, 25-12, 23-25, 24-26 and 15-9.
Jonny Samuels had 15 kills.
AJ Nicassio added 12 kills and 17 digs.
Majeed Ismail had 10 kills and 3 blocks.
Prep (11-2 overall, 2-0 in league) holds a one-game lead over Firebaugh in the Prep League standings.
The Rebels will resume league play at Firebaugh on Wednesday at 4:30
