Was it Flintridge Prep losing its first match in their last 11 matches?

Or was it more surprising that Gabrielino swept the Rebels?

I am going with the latter.

In their three losses, this was the first that came via a three-game sweep.

Prep lost a 2-0 match in a Providence Tournament match way back on March 11.

But Gabrielino, to their credit, earned a 25-22, 25-22 and 25-21 victory over the Prep League 5-time champs in a nonleague match on Monday.

AJ Nicassio led the way with 12 kills and Jonny Samuels added 10 kills.

Prep will look to bounce back today (Tuesday) when they travel to Poly at 3:30.
